Locally Sourced & Thoughtful Ingredients

At Sincerely, Sarah, we source locally whenever possible, honoring both quality and freshness in every ingredient we choose.

Our eggs, milk, butter, cream, yogurt, sour cream, and raw honey come directly from nearby farms we trust. During the summer months, fruit is sourced from a local fruit farm at peak ripeness. We carefully preserve the season’s harvest by freezing it at its freshest, allowing us to carry that just-picked flavor well beyond summer.

All farm produce is non-GMO and never treated with post-harvest preservatives or wax.

We believe sugar should enhance, not overpower. Each recipe is thoughtfully balanced so natural flavors shine first.

Edible flowers are one of our favorite ways to bring nature to the table. They are sourced directly from a local family flower farm, adding both beauty and intention to our designs.

We never use artificial preservatives, stabilizers, or additives — ever. The only preservative we incorporate is raw local honey.

Even our water is intentionally chosen: every recipe is made using Berkey filtered water.

Because exceptional creations begin with exceptional ingredients.

Naturally Leavened Bakes

All of our breads, croissants, rolls, and yeasted pastries are crafted using our house sourdough starter alongside traditional baker’s yeast.

This natural fermentation process develops deeper flavor, improved texture, and greater digestibility. While we never use bleached or brominated flour, incorporating our starter allows the dough to ferment slowly and fully — resulting in baked goods that feel lighter and are often more enjoyable for those with sensitivities.

Time, patience, and intention are essential ingredients in every batch.

About Sarah

Hi, I’m Sarah — the baker, designer, and heart behind Sincerely, Sarah.

What began as a love for baking and gathering has grown into a boutique Pittsburgh pâtisserie rooted in intention, craftsmanship, and connection. I believe the most meaningful moments in life deserve something thoughtfully made — something beautiful, balanced, and deeply satisfying.

At Sincerely, Sarah, I specialize in bespoke centerpiece cakes and refined pâtisserie, each creation crafted with care from the finest locally sourced ingredients. But beyond flavor and design, my work is guided by values: quality over shortcuts, seasonality over convenience, and sincerity in every detail.

I am inspired by nature, by slow processes, and by the quiet nostalgia that food can carry. Over time, customers have shared that my baking reminds them of someone they once loved — a grandmother’s kitchen, a family tradition, a recipe remembered but never written down. Others have told me it brings them back to a favorite café in Europe or a trip that lingers warmly in memory. There is something extraordinary about flavor’s ability to transport us. My hope is that each creation carries that same sense of familiarity and place — comforting, timeless, and deeply personal.

From naturally leavened breads to delicately finished celebration cakes, every piece is created with purpose — beautiful on the outside, exceptional on the inside.

For me, this is more than baking. It is about honoring ingredients, celebrating artistry, and creating something that gathers people together.

Made sincerely,
Sarah
